Terms of Use - version 1 - published 2026-11-05
1. Who we are and what this is
These Terms govern your use of the DeVOLT application, website and documentation (the “Service”), operated by the DeVOLT project, [entity to be formed] (“we”, “us”).
The Service is software that lets you prepare transactions on public blockchains and on third-party lending venues. We do not take custody of your assets in our own account. You sign every transaction yourself.
2. Accepting these Terms
When you sign the DeVOLT sign-in message, you agree to these Terms, version 1, whose text is on this page. The sign-in message names the version. We keep a record of each signature: the wallet address, the version, the signed message, the signature and the time.
Signing unlocks your private History in the app and records your acceptance. It moves no funds. You sign once to use the app. Closing, repaying or withdrawing an existing position in the app also requires it.
We may publish a new version. You will be asked to sign it the next time you use a feature that needs a signature. Until you sign a new version, the version you last signed continues to apply to you.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally able to enter these Terms and using the Service is lawful for you. By signing you confirm that you are not:
(a) a resident of, located in, or organised under the laws of the United States, or a US person;
(b) located in, resident in, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United Nations;
(c) a person on a sanctions list of the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United Nations, or owned or controlled by one;
(d) using a VPN or another tool to hide your location in order to reach the Service from a place in (a) or (b).
4. What the Service does and does not do
4.1 The Service reads data from public chains and venues and from third-party price and swap providers, and shows it with the time it was read. Figures, grades, badges and projections are measurements of a moment. They are not advice, an offer, or a recommendation.
4.2 We pick a swap route by comparing quotes from several providers and show you the choice. A displayed route is the best quote we measured at that moment, not a promise that it is the best available.
4.3 Before you sign a transaction, the app simulates it and refuses to send it if the simulation fails. That check does not guarantee the outcome when the transaction is mined. Markets the app opens positions on were tested on a copy of the live chain at a modest size; that test does not cover your size.
4.4 We charge a fee of 0.20% of the flash loan, paid in the loan token and added to your debt, within a ceiling the contract enforces. Other costs (venue interest, swap price impact, gas) are paid to others, not to us. See Costs in the docs.
5. Risks you accept
Leveraged positions can lose more value than simply holding the same asset would, can be liquidated by the venue at any time without notice to you, and can lose the whole deposit. Read the Risk warning in the docs before your first position.
The contracts are upgradeable. They are owned by a timelock controlled by a multi-signature wallet, so a change is announced on chain and waits at least 48 hours before it can take effect, and new code can use permissions you have granted. A pause can stop new positions; it cannot stop you from closing one. The contracts have not been audited by an independent firm.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your keys, your decisions, your taxes and the lawfulness of your use. Nobody can reverse a transaction or recover a key for you.
7. No warranty; limits of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. [To be completed after legal review.]
8. Disputes
[To be completed after legal review.]
9. Intellectual property
[To be completed after legal review.]
10. Changes, suspension, termination
We may change or suspend the Service. A pause on new positions does not stop you from exiting a position.
11. Contact
[To be completed.]
